The basics of starting any Artwork is the ability to visualize, conceptualize & render your vision into the media of your choice, if you are a sketch artist, painter, or a graphics person it all starts the same.....with an IDEA....THE DESIGN CONCEPT.
To assist any Artist who wants to understand better how we at Stingrays Studio create the "style" of artwork seen on our websites we have created several Tutorials here for you to get a better idea of what we are doing. So, How exactly do we create a Artwork ?...Here are a few examples of the steps to creating new pictures. GO SEE HOW WE CREATE THE WORLD'S #1 AUTO ART ....STEP BY STEP !
First we may start with a hand drawing or a photograph that depicts the basic IDEA of the design we are looking to create. Next we will do variations on the THEME of the CONCEPT to create a real sense of VISUALIZATION from various angles and DESIGN ELEMENTS. This process creates a entire map of the car's DESIGN in your mind and that
allows you to picture the car in any given situation.
After we have a DESIGN in mind the next step may be to make a simple color rendering that gives the picture real DIMENSION and DEPTH from a shaded shetch or a photo-overlay we define the design elements of the car.
With COLOR we can SHAPE the FORM of the design.
Once the dimensions are determined by color rendering THEN you can start to translate your design to create the GRAPHIC look that makes the car realistic and dynamic with the addtion of LIGHTING.
By working with the IMAGE PROCESSING tools in the computer you can smooth the shape into a solid entity that begins to create the illusion of a real car in a setting of your choice, however getting a basic studio set at first helps to define the reflections and highlights of your DESIGN.. by.adding MOTION into your artwork will begin to give the FEELING of an EMOTION that fits the picture.
Again you will need to try out various "SPEED EFFECTS" to find the right FEEL, and then blend them into the layers of the final image to fit smoothly, sometimes it is just a matter of "cropping" the picture closer to induce the speed :
Eventually, you WILL arrive at a point in your picture where it all just comes together !!
THAT POINT ARRIVES WHEN YOU CAN'T FIND ANYTHING MORE TO DO TO THE PICTURE, without screwing it up more ....LOL ! - That is why it is called an ART & not a set of rules to follow.
